Manav Sewa Ashram, one of Nepal's largest homeless-and-destitute-care organizations, will be travelling to from 17 Sep 2026 to 7 Oct 2026 Australia as part of an international outreach and fundraising visit, according to the organization's announcements .
Founded in Hetauda, Makwanpur in August 29, 2012 (2069 BS) Manav Sewa Ashram now operates 34 branches across 23 districts in all seven of Nepal's provinces, under the mission of "food, clothing and shelter for all." The organization has built a substantial domestic donor base through periodic religious charitable events (mahayagyas) held across the country, including one in Pokhara earlier this year that raised over Rs 3.3 crore.
The ashram's rescue operations remain active domestically alongside its diaspora outreach with total of 5326 women and 9037 men rescued from streets till date out of which 2648 female and 3426 had family reunion, as per the official website of the organization.
Diaspora fundraising tours by Nepali charitable and religious organizations have become increasingly common as groups like NRNA chapters and homegrown NGOs seek support from Nepalis abroad, particularly in Australia, the UK and the US communities with both larger disposable incomes and strong emotional ties to causes framed around Nepali social welfare.
