From Raid to Arrest: Two ANFA officials detained over match fixing

Nepal Police's Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) arrested two senior All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) officials on Sunday evening .

Among the two are treasurer Ravindra Joshi, 60, and Accounts Officer Sanjiv Pandey, 55. They are arrested on charges of match-fixing, irregularities, and fraud.

CIB spokesperson and Senior Superintendent of Police Anupam Shamsher confirmed the arrests, citing a formal complaint letter from the National Sports Council's central office in Tripureshwar, as well as a separate complaint from an individual named Basanta Rijal.

This is a direct continuation of the CIB raid on ANFA's Satdobato headquarters earlier this week, when investigators seized documents without disclosing specifics at the time.
