KATHMANDU: Nepal will host Bangladesh for a three-match T20 International series at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur in March 2027, in the first bilateral men's cricket series between the two countries.
The matches are scheduled for March 26, 28 and 30, according to the International Cricket Council and the Cricket Association of Nepal.
The series will also mark Bangladesh's first tour of Nepal. The two teams have previously met twice in T20 internationals, at the 2014 and 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cups. Bangladesh won both matches.
The three matches will be dedicated to the people who lost their lives in Nepal's recent floods. Cricket authorities in both countries said the series would carry a message of friendship, solidarity and cooperation.
The series will give Nepal three home T20Is against a full-member side as the country prepares for the next phase of its international cricket programme. Bangladesh have already qualified for the 2028 T20 World Cup, while Nepal will be seeking qualification through the Global Qualifier.
The visit is also expected to strengthen cricket cooperation between the two countries. The Cricket Association of Nepal and Bangladesh Cricket Board have discussed support for Nepal's women's cricket, age-group programmes and wider cricket-development initiatives.
