China's Ambassador to Nepal, Chang Maoming, handed over a cheque for Rs 1.1 crore to Education and Sports Minister Sasmit Pokharel on Monday.
The handover took place at the Ministry of Education and Sports.
It was earmarked for children affected by the Bhote Koshi floods.
The ambassador said the funds were designed to reach flood-affected children directly, while Pokharel thanked China for its continued support during the disaster.
This donation comes as part of China's broader pattern of targeted, direct-impact contributions to Nepal's disaster response.
China has separately been involved in the broader disaster response, including repatriating Nepali citizens stranded across the border and supplying materials for damaged infrastructure.
