Pokhara Int'l Airport has welcomed its first International flight

Pokhara International Airport marked a milestone Wednesday evening as flyDubai's first scheduled flight from Dubai touched down carrying 113 passengers, becoming the first foreign airline to offer daily international service from Nepal's tourism capital.

flyDubai's first scheduled commercial flight has landed at Pokhara International Airport Wednesday at September 23, 2026 at 6:18 pm. The flight was welcomed with traditonal water cannon salute for the aircraft and khada garlands for passengers.

A total of113 passengers arrived from Dubai, while 153 departed on the return flight to Dubai at 7:15 pm.

This marks Pokhara's first daily scheduled International air service,flyDubai being the first foreign carrier to offer it.

As for business incentive, Hotel Association Pokhaara offered inaugural flight passengers a free first night plus breakfast and upto 30% off for boarding pass holders at participating hotels. Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal offered 15-20% discounts.

As previously covered , the aircrafts to be used for the flight are A319 with carrying capacity of about 140-150 seats and A320 with 160-180 seats depending on the demand.

The time scheduled for daily flights are arrival at 6:15pm and departure at 7:15pm as of summer shift before shifting to different timetable from winter shift from Oct 25.
